Grant funding will help the Baltimore-based nonprofit enhance health conditions and energy efficiency in homes around the country.\nFunding for GHHI comes from CNCS\u2019s Social Innovation Fund, a program that brings together public- and private-sector resources to create economic opportunity, strengthen youth development and boost health outcomes in communities across the country.\n\u201cEvery child in every family should have the opportunity to grow up in a safe and healthy home,\u201d said Congressman Sarbanes. \u201cBy continuing to make investments in community-based nonprofits \u2013 like the one that CNCS is making in GHHI \u2013 we can continue improving health and life outcomes for residents in our most vulnerable and underserved communities.\u201d\nCongressman Sarbanes has been a steadfast and longstanding advocate for CNCS.
