Ford International Airport (GRR) received $300,000 from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This will fund the field testing and measuring of lab-proven innovative destruction technologies to measurably reduce and mitigate the impacts of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on the aviation sector. Ultimately, this investment will prevent PFAS, or \u201cforever chemicals,\u201d from harming surface and groundwater quality at the airport or within five miles of the airport.\n\n\u201cGerald Ford International Airport is one of the fastest-growing airports in the country.
