Terri Sewell (AL-07) announced that her office is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students from both public and private schools throughout Alabama\u2019s 7th Congressional District, as well as home-schooled high school students. The winner will receive free round-trip airfare for two to Washington D.C. to attend an official reception honoring the winners from congressional districts across the nation. The winner\u2019s artwork will be showcased in the U.S. Capitol for one year. The deadline to submit artwork is Friday, April 28, 2023.\n\nThis year\u2019s theme, \u201cReimagine Alabama,\u201d provides students an opportunity to capture their hopes and dreams for the state they call home.\n\nTo enter the contest, students must fill out and submit a Student Information and Release Form with their artwork by Friday, April 28, 2023. Students are encouraged to submit their artwork to their local school superintendent\u2019s office or call (334) 262-1919 for pick up. Students may also deliver their art to any of Rep. Sewell\u2019s district offices located in Birmingham, Montgomery, Selma and Tuscaloosa. Artwork may be up to 26\u201d high X 26\u201d wide X 4\u201d deep. For more information, contact Rep.
