For sick patients in states which waive essential health requirements, CBO predicts that healthcare coverage could become unaffordable and likely unattainable. Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) releases the following statement:\n\u201cToday\u2019s new score from the CBO confirms that Trumpcare still contains the same terrible policies that have mobilized Americans nationwide against the GOP healthcare repeal bill,\u201d said Rep. Sewell. \u201cThis bill remains a bad deal for Alabamians \u2013 eliminating coverage for 23 million Americans, cutting Medicaid by $834 billion and penalizing older Americans and those with pre-existing conditions. That is a lose-lose proposition for the American people.\u201d\n\u201cMake no mistake, a bill that kicks 23 million people off of insurance will cost lives.
