Tom Price on President Trump\u2019s failure to fulfill previous commitments to protect Medicaid funding and to fully fund other health commitments.\nWatch Rep. Tom Price.\n\u201cPresident Trump\u2019s failed promise to protect Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security will go down as one of the most damaging backtracks in recent presidential history,\u201d said Rep. Sewell. \u201cNo spin from HHS Secretary Tom Price can disguise the fact that this Administration\u2019s cuts to Medicaid will leave millions without health coverage, hurt struggling hospitals, and limit access to care for our most vulnerable children. In addition, the HHS budget proposed by our President cuts the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, strips rehabilitation services, and defunds NIH health research at institutions like the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
