Sewell, a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, releases the following statement:\n\u201cWhat we learned this week about the Trump campaign\u2019s meeting with a Russian official is deeply disturbing and highly unethical,\u201d said Congresswoman Terri Sewell. \u201cWhat\u2019s worse, the Trump campaign\u2019s failure to disclose their meeting to our intelligence community even after news broke on Russian election interference was a complete breach of basic civic responsibility. On the House Intelligence Committee, it\u2019s our job to gather all the facts about this meeting, including testimony from those who attended and any related documents. The American people deserve to know whether this meeting was used by the Russians to test the waters with the Trump campaign and what follow up was conducted by Russian officials.\u201d\n###\nRep.
