Terri Sewell issued the following response to a press conference by FBI Director James Comey, regarding the FBI\u2019s investigation of the email practices of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:\n\u201cI commend the FBI on the thoroughness of its investigation, which concluded that the actions of Secretary Clinton and her staff were careless but not criminal\u2014and recommended that no charges should be filed.\u00a0 Secretary Clinton has said that the use of the private server was both a mistake and deeply regrettable. Today\u2019s announcement underscores that, although the mistake was serious, it was no more than that. Director Comey said that no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case under the circumstances. \n\u201cThere are larger lessons to be learned from today\u2019s announcement, to be sure. Though it wasn\u2019t the Bureau\u2019s focus, its review nevertheless did reveal deficiencies in the State Department\u2019s culture regarding the communication of sensitive information.
