{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://shea-porter.house.gov/media/press-releases/shea-porter-manchester-va-medical-center-announce-new-partnership-frisbie", "Shea-Porter, Manchester VA Medical Center Announce New Partnership with Frisbie Memorial Hospital", "2017-12-14", "2017", "2017-12", "Democrat", "House", "NH", "Carol Shea-Porter", "S001170", "shea-porter.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "MANCHESTER, NH \u2013 Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01) today announced in conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Manchester Medical Center that the VA has launched a new public/private partnership with Rochester\u2019s Frisbie Memorial Hospital to provide Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures to Seacoast veterans.\n\u201cThe VA\u2019s partnership with Frisbie is an important interim step toward ensuring that all New Hampshire veterans can get needed care locally,\u201d said Shea-Porter. \u201cAccess to VA services at Frisbie will help the nearly 16,000 veterans residing in Carroll and Strafford Counties access care close to home, and it will allow the Manchester VA Medical Center to keep focusing on needed improvements.\u201d\n\u201cModernizations in care, such as this private/public partnership, ensure wraparound services for Veterans in New Hampshire,\u201d said Alfred Montoya, Acting Director of Manchester VAMC.\u00a0 \u201cThis collaboration is another milestone in advancing and greater access to care for Veterans in New Hampshire.\u201d\n\u201cFrisbie is very proud to be included in this partnership with VA Manchester Medical Center. We look forward to being a part of serving the veteran men and women in our community,\" said John Marzinzik, President and CEO, Frisbie Memorial Hospital.\nThe partnership comes after Shea-Porter recommended the VA consider expanding its public/private model to the Seacoast and North Country regions, so that more New Hampshire veterans can receive VA care close to home. The VA launched its first such New Hampshire partnership, with Manchester\u2019s Catholic Medical Center, in August.\nThrough the new partnership, VA Manchester patients can schedule GI procedures performed by their VAMC provider at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Appointments, care, and billing for Manchester VA at Frisbie are being handled through VA Manchester Medical Center.
