For over a year, House Republicans have held up this bill because they have insisted on taking away nutrition support from millions of Americans who rely on these benefits to feed their families. I am pleased that these harmful provisions were not included in the final bill. The Farm Bill reauthorizes the Northern Border Regional Commission, which generates important economic activity in our state and which grows our workforce. Furthermore, this bill supports our farmers and makes critical investments that will benefit our rural communities, such as expanded access to broadband.
