This is the bipartisan, five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill, commonly known as the Highway Bill.\n\nThe legislation includes many Shreve-backed provisions to invest in roads and bridges, speed up project delivery, strengthen rail safety, crack down on fraudulent commercial driver training programs, and improve freight movement for Indiana\u2019s distribution-based economy.\n\nKey provisions secured for Indiana\u2019s Sixth District include:\n\nCutting Red Tape for Infrastructure Projects\n\nSpeeds up federal environmental reviews so road and bridge projects are not stuck in years of delay before construction can begin.\n\nCracking Down on Fraudulent CDL Training Programs\n\nTargets fake commercial driver training schools that put unqualified or ineligible truck drivers behind the wheel and make roads less safe.\n\nInvesting in Safer Rail Crossings and Rail Lines\n\nReauthorizes the Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements and Rail Crossing Elimination programs, supporting upgrades to dangerous rail crossings and improvements to rail infrastructure.\n\nImproving Freight Movement\n\nPrioritizes highway improvements in busy freight corridors, helping goods move more efficiently through Indiana and across the country.\n\n\u201cHoosiers sent me to Washington to solve practical problems,\u201d said Rep.
