Victoria Spartz to redesignate the Elwood, Indiana, U.S. Post Office building after fallen police officer Noah Jacob Shahnavaz passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

“While we can never fully repay Noah and his family, the renaming of the Elwood Post Office after his name will serve as a lasting reminder of his ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms,” said Rep. Spartz. “I want to thank my House colleagues for their support in honoring this true American hero.”

The legislation now proceeds to the U.S. Senate for consideration.

Background

Officer Noah Jacob Shahnavaz was a highly dedicated member of the Elwood Police Department in Indiana, remembered for his deep commitment to public service and community protection.
