Greg Stanton today delivered hand-made valentine cards to local veterans created by elementary school students in Arizona\u2019s 9th District. Through Stanton\u2019s \u201cValentine\u2019s for Vets\u201d initiative, now in its third year, students from more than 50 schools created more than 1,000 cards to show appreciation for the men and women who served our country.\n\n\u201cOur veterans deserve our respect and gratitude every day of the year\u2014and our Valentine\u2019s for Vets program is a great opportunity for students to learn about and appreciate the sacrifice our military veterans have made,\u201d said Stanton. \u201cI\u2019m grateful for the outpouring of support we got from our local schools. They helped make a lot of veterans\u2019 Valentine\u2019s Day brighter.\u201d\n\nStanton visited the Arizona State Veteran Home to meet with veterans and present the students\u2019 valentines.
