He will be the only Arizonan to serve on either.\n\nAs Vice Ranking Member on Transportation and Infrastructure, Stanton will continue to focus on implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to ensure federal investments reach Arizona communities and working to protect and secure the state\u2019s water future. He will also play a critical role in shaping key legislation coming before the committee this Congress, including the five-year reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration.\n\n\u201cI\u2019m honored to be selected to help steer the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee at this critical juncture. Fresh off one of the most productive stretches in this Committee\u2019s history, I\u2019ll continue working across the aisle to make sure Arizona receives its fair share of federal infrastructure dollars,\u201d Stanton said.\n\nOn the Foreign Affairs Committee, Stanton will work to expand trade and international commerce, protect Arizona\u2019s economic relationship with Taiwan, combat China\u2019s aggression in the Pacific, as well as address the root causes of migration that have led to a humanitarian crisis at the southern border.\n\n\u201cOur state\u2019s economic interests are increasingly global, and Arizonans need a strong voice focused on improving relationships with our largest trading partners and protecting foreign investments in Arizona\u2019s growing semiconductor industry,\u201d Stanton said.\n\nStanton worked to pass the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement through the House in 2019 and led 19 trade missions as mayor of Phoenix to Mexico and Canada to rebuild trade relationships.
