The legislation also included the Fix NICS Act (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) to improve the ability of law enforcement entities to identify individuals who cannot legally purchase a firearm.\n\u201cOur 2nd Amendment rights don\u2019t disappear when we cross state lines,\u201d said Congresswoman Stefanik. \u201cThe bill passed out of the House today protects law-abiding citizens\u2019 Constitutional rights and also strengthens our criminal background check system to help keep firearms out of the hands of criminals.
