Steil released the following statement after today\u2019s vote:\n\n\u201cTime and again, proxy advisors have pushed professional investors to vote contrary to retirement savers\u2019 economic interests. Investment advisors, pension funds, and asset managers voting American retirement savers\u2019 shares should be focused on securing your retirement, not advancing their political agenda.\n\n\u201cMy bill will regulate proxy advisors and bring accountability and transparency to stop the politicization of retirement investments.
