All tips are currently subject to federal taxes, which hits states like Nevada \u2013 with the highest concentration of tipped workers in the nation \u2013 especially hard.\n\n\u201cWe need to be doing everything we can to keep more dollars in Nevadans\u2019 pockets. No one should lose out on the tips they earned, especially while big corporations make record profits,\u201d said Congresswoman Susie Lee. \u201cThis bipartisan legislation will bring immediate relief to many Nevadans and must be part of a broader effort to raise wages while protecting workers from corporate greed.\u201d\n\nCongresswoman Lee is working to lower costs and keep more money in southern Nevadans\u2019 pockets. Earlier this year, she helped pass a bipartisan tax package that made significant progress to expand the Child Tax Credit and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and has fought to increase the minimum wage since her first days in Congress.
