This bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 427-1.\n\n\u201cThe American people deserve transparency about the wretched tragedies that occurred at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates,\u201d said Congressman Taylor. \u201cIt is important to note that there are uncertainties surrounding the security of victims\u2019 information in this legislation\u2019s current form, but it is a transparent first step toward holding the perpetrators accountable. Whereas Democrats sat on this information for the past four years, Republicans are bringing it into the light to ensure justice for victims, and I was proud to vote to release the Epstein files today.\u201d\n\nSpecifically, this bill will:\n\nRequire the Department of Justice (DOJ) to publish all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials within its possession pertaining to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein, including:\n\nMaterials related to Ghislaine Maxwell;\n\nFlight logs and travel records, and;\n\nIndividuals named or referenced, including government officials, connected to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein.\n\nRequire the DOJ to report to Congress, no later than 15 days after the publication:\n\nAll categories of information that were released or withheld;\n\nA summary of any redactions made, and;\n\nA list of all government officials and politically exposed individuals named or referenced in the published materials.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-06T19:52:45Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://taylor.house.gov/media/press-releases/congressman-taylor-votes-release-epstein-files"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.6878449823707342, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
