Additionally, Rep. Tiffany requested an independent, third-party investigation into the matter to ensure public transparency and accountability for those responsible.\n\nIn the letter, Tiffany cited numerous examples of the Clerk\u2019s Office saying one thing, only to subsequently revise those statements or scrub the information from their website later. Those revisions included claims about the number of wards impacted, how many duplicate ballots were distributed, the location of barcodes, and efforts to inform voters of the mistakes.\n\n\u201cI am also skeptical of your office\u2019s claim regarding the retention of emails, text messages, handwritten notes, and other records related to this incident given that the Clerk\u2019s office has repeatedly revised its website to scrub or edit its initial statements after those initial statements were shown to be demonstrably false.
