Dina Titus, RTC and Boulder City officials highlight Nevada Way improvements", "2026-08-14", "2026", "2026-08", "Democrat", "House", "NV", "Dina Titus", "T000468", "titus.house.gov", "titus", "https://titus.house.gov/news/documentquery.aspx", "scraper", "Congresswoman Dina Titus, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and Boulder City officials held a news conference today to provide details about the upcoming Phase II Nevada Way Reconstruction Project to upgrade this key roadway in Boulder City, including safety improvements for vulnerable roadway users.\n\nThe project is being made possible by an $850,000 federal grant secured by Congresswoman Titus.\n\n\u201cNevada Way is a main thoroughfare through Boulder City, providing a gateway to Lake Mead National Recreation Area and other tourist destinations around Boulder City,\u201d Congresswoman Titus said. \u201cThis project will contribute to Boulder City\u2019s economic vitality while providing additional pedestrian safety measures for its residents.\u201d\n\n\u201cRTC is proud to partner with Boulder City and Congresswoman Titus to advance improvements that make Nevada Way safer and more welcoming for residents, businesses, and the customers they serve,\u201d said Andrew Kjellman, RTC Deputy CEO. \u201cWe are grateful for Congresswoman Titus\u2019 leadership and commitment to bringing resources back to Southern Nevada.\u201d\n\nThe project will rehabilitate Nevada Way from Colorado Street to Park Street through the historic downtown area of Boulder City and reconstruct Colorado Street from Nevada Way to Utah Street, and Park Street from Nevada Way to Utah Street. The project will repave, restripe, and replace deteriorating asphalt on the roadway. The improvements include raised crosswalks with pedestrian-activated flashing beacons.
