Dina Titus of Nevada\u2019s First Congressional District announced that Las Vegas\u2019 Neon Museum received a federal grant to help create a digital library of drawings, renderings, schematics, photos, postcards, and other items relating to Southern Nevada\u2019s most iconic works of art. \u00a0\u00a0  \n\tThe $24,500 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services will allow the Neon Museum to begin digitally archiving its collection of groundbreaking and contemporary artists whose signs and advertisements have become synonymous with the Las Vegas aesthetic.\u00a0\n  \n\t\u201cWith this grant, the Neon Museum is one step closer to showcasing and preserving more artifacts from the artists who decorated the Southern Nevada landscape and captivated millions of visitors over many decades,\u201d Rep. Titus said. \u201cWhile we\u2019ve come to know and love the museum\u2019s monumental outdoor displays, it\u2019s gratifying to see the commitment to safeguarding the vestiges of the artistic process along with the world-famous collection in the Neon Boneyard.
