If we don\u2019t act now, our native forests will not survive,\u201d said Rep. Tokuda. \u201cThis bill would help in the fight against Rapid \u02bb\u014chi\u02bba Death by leveraging federal resources to support statewide efforts in mitigating Rapid \u02bb\u014chi\u02bba Death\u2019s impact on Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s delicate ecosystems.\u201d\n\nThe Continued Rapid \u02bb\u014chi\u02bba Death Response Act of 2023 would direct the Secretary of the Interior to collaborate with the Secretary of Agriculture and the State of Hawai\u2018i on combating Rapid \u2018\u014chi\u2018a Death. This bill would increase support for continued detection, prevention, and restoration efforts to Rapid \u2018\u014chi\u2018a Death, including funding and staff for necessary research.\n\nThis legislation, which she introduced with U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono, is Rep.
