Tokuda. \u201cContests like the Art Competition are the perfect opportunity to invest in our students\u2019 passions and to give them a chance to showcase their abilities and points of view \u2013 not only to our community \u2013 but our nation.\u201d\n\nThe winning artwork of our district\u2019s competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol\u2019s Cannon Tunnel, which Members of Congress use every day as well as thousands of visitors. The winning artwork will also be featured on House.gov\u2019s Congressional Art Competition page and Congresswoman Tokuda\u2019s website and social media pages.\n\nIn 2023, the winner of the Congressional Art Competition for Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s Second Congressional District was Cailyn Omuro from Maui High School.\n\nStudents interested in participating in the Congressional Art Competition should visit Rep. Tokuda\u2019s website: tokuda.house.gov/services/art-competition to learn more about the submission process.
