This extension protects Louisiana jobs, safeguards important programs that people rely on, and provides much-needed disaster relief. Republicans were forced to do the right thing because of mounting pressure from Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic Caucus, and most importantly the American people. This is a victory.\n\n\u201cA bipartisan compromise is the only way forward.
