Reviving rail service between our two largest cities is critical to resolving the region\u2019s transportation infrastructure issues. A passenger train has not run between Baton Rouge and New Orleans since 1969 but is critically important to Louisianians and vital to fostering growth in the region. This will also enable the realization of passenger rail between New Orleans and Mobile.\n\n\u201cThis has been one of my top priorities since I was elected to Congress.
