Carter, Sr. provided the following statement after he voted to support a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government until December 16th, 2022 and provide Louisiana with $841.5 million for Hurricane Ida relief. It has passed both chambers of Congress and now heads to the President for his signature.\n\n\u201cEven though it\u2019s been over a year since Hurricane Ida, there is still a long way to go,\u201d said Congressman Carter. \u201cThe disaster recovery funding included in this government funding measure is a welcome source of relief for families and communities in southeast Louisiana who have been rebuilding for over a year.\u201d\n\nThe CR provides a total of $2 billion in disaster relief nationwide.
