{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://turner.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/turner-continues-to-fight-for-delphi-retirees", "TURNER continues to fight for Delphi Retirees", "2015-12-09", "2015", "2015-12", "Republican", "House", "OH", "Michael Turner", "T000463", "turner.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "\u201cThe delays and lack of information are simply unacceptable.\u201d\nCongressman Turner released the following statement after sending a letter to Robert Westbrooks, Inspector General for Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC):\n\u201cThe PBGC\u2019s continued mistreatment of the Delphi Salaried Retirees warrants additional scrutiny from the independent Inspector General.\u00a0\u00a0It is my hope that we will gain further insight into the delays, lack of transparency, and repeated efforts to stonewall these retirees.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The pensions and benefits these men and women earned over the course of their careers were unjustly terminated, and the PBGC must be held accountable for their actions.\u201d\nThe letter requests that Inspector General conduct an inquiry into the agency\u2019s actions in failing to provide retirees with information:\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Plan Asset Audit for the Salaried Plan: Please determine the date of completion and what justification, if any, the PBGC has for informing plan participants that it has not yet been completed.\u00a0\u00a0If the document has not been completed, please determine how PBGC arrived at its final benefit determinations in the absence of the necessary supporting calculations and documentation.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Benefit Statement Worksheets: Please determine why PBGC has provided benefit determinations that fail to explain whether, and/or to what extent, a benefit comes from PBGC\u2019s insurance guarantee, the Salaried Plan\u2019s asset allocation, or the participant\u2019s share in PBGC\u2019s recoveries from Delphi and GM.\u00a0\u00a0Please also determine the cause of PBGC\u2019s delays in fulfilling requests for Benefit Statement Worksheets.\n\u00a0\n\u00a0\n**Letter is attached**12-9-15_Letter_to_PBGC[1].pdf", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://turner.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/turner-continues-to-fight-for-delphi-retirees"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.337969908490777, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
