The Congressman presented Turner with the Congressional Record containing his remarks honoring Turner\u2019s service and dedication to our nation.\n\nTurner enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2015, serving proudly as a Network Administrator with the Headquarters Battalion of the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton in California. During his service, Turner deployed twice to Kuwait and later to Syria with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In recognition of his service, Turner earned both the Navy Achievement Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.\n\nAfter leaving the Marine Corps, Turner never stopped serving, shifting his efforts to the local veteran community. He became involved with several veteran service organizations, including the Hillsdale American Legion, where he took on a leadership role organizing Hillsdale\u2019s annual Independence Day fireworks celebration. Turner has also demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting fellow veterans and fire departments across Hillsdale through his volunteer work with the Major Henry Holloway Canteen Unit.\n\n\u201cIt is a privilege to honor Turner as the Veteran of the Month for September,\u201d said Rep. Walberg. \u201cTurner\u2019s service in the United States Marine Corps and his continued commitment to supporting his fellow veterans exemplifies the highest ideals of leadership, sacrifice, and service.
