Walden's Remarks:\nIt has been a year since I helped lead the effort to pass the SUPPORT Act into law. It's been called the most significant congressional effort against a drug crisis in American history. Combating the opioid crisis in our communities remains a top priority for me, but it is going to take an all-hands-on-deck approach. I wanted to share an important opportunity for anyone who wants to join and help. The DEA's National Prescription DrugTake Back Dayprovides a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of excess prescription drugs, while also providing an opportunity to raise awareness of the opioid crisis and to educate our neighbors, and family, and friends about the potential for abuse of medications. Saturday, October 26 is NationalTake Back Day. Now it is this day that provides an opportunity for our community to dispose of prescription drugs in a safe and responsible way.
