This 2,000+ page bill spends over $1 trillion over the next nine months and continues to waste taxpayers money on bloated, wasteful and ineffective priorities.\nThe omnibus continues to violate the American peoples trust by continuing Washingtons habits of increased debt and dysfunction, said Walker. As President Obama enters his final year in office, this vote may have been our last opportunity to stand against the Obama regime in regards to stopping the funding of his promised transformation. My constituents sent me to Washington on the pledge of reviving our economy and reducing the government. This omnibus does not fit that pledge, Walker added.\nThe omnibus spends $1.149 trillion over the next nine months. It fails to divert federal dollars from Planned Parenthood to other womens health care facilities, defund President Obamas de facto amnesty, curb harmful regulations, or repeal Obamacare.\nAlthough the bill does advance some meaningful Republican priorities  such as strengthening the Visa Waiver Program, prohibiting new funding for Obamacare, and blocking EPA overreach  its good intentions only serve as Washington talking points that virtually ignore the threats our nation faces from enemies abroad and President Obamas ideology at home.\nThe bill passed the House today 314-112.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://walker.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/walker-fights-washingtons-spending-habits"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.4854699838906527, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
