Below are her remarks: \u00a0 \u201cWhen the Majority Leader announced a list of bills that the House may consider over the next few weeks, I was disappointed to hear that in July, instead of focusing on significant challenges that face our nation, House Republicans will begin the next chapter in their war on women.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cWe may consider, we heard, appropriations bills and another Farm Bill that would have drastic cuts to vital programs like SNAP and WIC that disproportionately devastate low-income women and families. \u00a0 \u201cWe may, yet again, vote on legislation to repeal or gut the Affordable Care Act, which has provided millions of women with access to preventive care and has ensured \u2013 finally \u2013 that being a woman is not a pre-existing condition. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cWhat\u2019s equally troubling is what we didn\u2019t hear, what\u2019s missing from the list.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cWhere is a budget to replace the sequester which is prohibiting access to life saving programs for victims of domestic violence? \u00a0 \u201cWhere is legislation to create jobs, put Americans back to work and strengthen economic opportunities for the middle class?\u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cAnd where is the Paycheck Fairness Act, to finally ensure that women get equal pay for equal work? \u00a0 \u201cI say we need another list.\u201d", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20130722051959/http://titus.house.gov:80/media-center/press-releases/titus-defends-women-s-rights-from-gop-s-draconian-agenda"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8963956497609615, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
