David Vitter met with Colonel Richard Hansen, Commander and New Orleans District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), regarding the Corps\u2019 preparation and projections for Tropical Storm Karen, which is expected to approach the Gulf Coast late on Saturday.\n\u201cI can absolutely confirm that every person and all resources that the Corps will need to protect the Gulf from this storm are ready and available.
