The comment period ends\u00a0January 17, 2014, and a listing decision is due by\u00a0March 30, 2014.\n\u00a0\n\u201cThe Fish and Wildlife Service worked for several months with the five states that would be impacted by a listing of the lesser prairie chicken, and endorsed their balanced plan to conserve the species and protect jobs,\u201d Pearce said. \u201cI applaud them for taking a serious approach to this important issue, and giving us the opportunity to let our voices be heard.
