NBC reports that despite the repetition of his broken promise, President Obama has known for over three years that that cancellation notices would plague mailboxes across the country.\nWhich is why the Washington Post found the President\u2019s claim so outrageous that they gave it four Pinocchios .\nSo the President reverted back to the usual campaign-style tactics to rewrite history and add a caveat to one of his most well-known and discredited promises.\nBut Politifact.com, gave the President a \u201cPants on Fire\u201d rating because he, \u201c\u2026is ignoring the overwhelming majority of times he addressed the issue.\u201d\nAnd while top insurers are preparing for a one-year delay in the law, the President is waging an offensive to blame insurance companies for the disastrous impacts of his law.\u00a0\nYet, the Washington Post rightfully highlighted that this is only \u201c\u2026a classic case of misdirection\u201d and gave it three Pinocchios.\nThe Las Vegas Review-Journal reminded us that, \u201cObamaCare\u2019s broken promises, cancellations are only the beginning.\u201d\nIt\u2019s no wonder House and Senate Democrats are joining their Republican colleagues in calling for a one-year delay of the law.\u00a0\n\tOne prominent Senate Democrat even referred to the President\u2019s handling of the rollout as a \u201ccrisis of confidence.\u201d", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20140221182724/http://bucshon.house.gov/press-release/four-pinocchios-and-pants-fire"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.3452270068228245, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
