The Veterans Rapid Employment Initiative is a program designed to help recently-discharged veterans start careers in the manufacturing industry.\n\"The growing skills gap we see in our workforce threatens our ability to compete and for too many of our veterans, they're coming home to too many obstacles to good jobs and quality career opportunities,\"\u00a0Schneider said. \"Expanding our manufacturing base is critical to growing our economy and helping\u00a0our\u00a0veterans start careers in manufacturing is a winning strategy for everyone.\u00a0I am thrilled about the many new opportunities this local initiative can\u00a0create to get our veterans back to work and provide our\u00a0manufacturers\u00a0with much-needed skilled workers.\u201d\nA member of the House Small Business Committee, Schneider is a champion of workforce development and expanding economic opportunity.
