{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://web.archive.org/web/20140301120202/http://bustos.house.gov/press-and-media/press-releases/bustos-leads-common-sense-effort-to-ensure-all-illinoisans-have", "Bustos Leads Common Sense Effort To Ensure All Illinoisans Have Access To Health Care Come January 1st", "2013-12-13", "2013", "2013-12", "Democrat", "House", "IL", "Cheri Bustos", "B001286", "web.archive.org", null, null, "legacy", "Bustos Fix Would Protect Those Who Were Unable To Sign Up For Health Insurance Due To Exchange Glitches  \n\t\u00a0  \u201cLike folks across Illinois, I\u2019ve been frustrated by the poor implementation of the Affordable Care Act - health care consumers truly deserve better,\u201d said Congresswoman Cheri Bustos.\u00a0 \u201cThis common sense fix I introduced today would ensure people across our region of Illinois, and the country, aren\u2019t unfairly penalized for a situation beyond their control.\u00a0 It offers a reasonable solution to protect those who put in a good faith effort to enroll in the marketplace by ensuring they have health coverage next year.\u00a0 I\u2019ll keep fighting to do my part to make sure all Americans have access to the quality and affordable health care they deserve.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0 Bustos\u2019 bill would provide retroactive insurance coverage to January 1st, 2014, for individuals who tried to enroll in an exchange health plan prior to December 23rd, 2013, and were not able to through no fault of their own despite a good faith effort, as long as they enroll and pay their premium by January 31st, 2014.\u00a0 The bill would also ensure that people who enrolled correctly, but do not yet have their insurance card, are not discriminated against when they seek health care.\u00a0 It would also protect those who were incorrectly determined to be eligible for Medicaid and prevented from enrolling though the marketplace.\u00a0  Bustos is a strong supporter of making sure all Americans have access to quality and affordable health care and has fought for common sense adjustments to the health care law such as allowing all Americans who like their insurance to have the option of keeping it.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20140301120202/http://bustos.house.gov/press-and-media/press-releases/bustos-leads-common-sense-effort-to-ensure-all-illinoisans-have"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.6501559875905514, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
