Harriet Davidson Nye was a New Mexican pilot who helped to popularize airmail in the 1930s, flying mail in and out of Socorro, New Mexico, in a Fairchild 24.\n\u201cAshley Olson was ten years old when I met her in Silver City.\u00a0 At that time she told me about her dream of attending the Air Force Academy and asked for my assistance. \u00a0Thirteen years later I had the honor of commissioning her at her graduation from the Air Force Academy.\u00a0 She is now serving her country flying C-17s, and serving as a role model to other young women who aim high and follow their dreams.\u00a0\n\u201cWomen\u2019s history month is an important time to remember and learn about the women who have led and inspired us, in aviation and in every area.\u201d", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20140321021741/http://pearce.house.gov/press-release/pearce-honoring-high-fliers-during-women%E2%80%99s-history-month"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 2.757695037871599, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
