{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://web.archive.org/web/20140427132252/http://rothfus.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=25&itemid=628", "House Passes Bipartisan Budget Agreement", "2013-12-12", "2013", "2013-12", "Republican", "House", "PA", "Keith Rothfus", "R000598", "web.archive.org", null, null, "legacy", "Washington, D.C. \u2013 Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement after voting for H.J.Res. 59, the Bipartisan Budget Act:\n\n\t\u201cThis agreement is nowhere near perfect.\u00a0 Nobody got all they wanted with this budget,\u201d said Rothfus.\u00a0 \u201cThat is the result of a functioning divided government designed with checks and balances.\u00a0\n\n\t\u201cThe agreement swaps modest but permanent reforms to mandatory spending for temporary and partial relief from the arbitrary sequester cuts.\u00a0 In so doing it will reduce the deficit without raising taxes, and provide for a stronger national defense.\u00a0 It also includes several provisions to tackle fraud and waste.\n\n\t\u201cThis bill also protects seniors\u2019 ability to see their doctors by blocking a dramatic reduction in the Medicare reimbursement rate scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2014.\u201d\n\n\t\u201cMuch more needs to be done to rein in big government and address our fiscal challenges in ways that reduce spending, ensure that critical social service programs are solvent for those who need them, and increase job opportunities, wages, and salaries for workers.\u201d\n\n\tThe Bipartisan Budget Agreement passed in the House of Representatives by a bipartisan 332-94 vote.\u00a0\n\n\tAdditional Resources:\n\tSpending Cuts Included\n\tFAQ About the Bipartisan Budget Agreement\n\tSummary from the House Budget Committee", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20140427132252/http://rothfus.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=25&itemid=628"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 2.5829081423580647, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
