Price said. \u201cHome visitation programs are proven to improve pregnancy outcomes and reduce incidents of domestic violence and child neglect, while ensuring school readiness and achievement for thousands of children across our State.\u201d\n\n\tThe MIECHV Program, created by the Affordable Care Act, works with states to develop and implement locally-managed, voluntary, evidence-based home visiting programs for pregnant women and families and helps parents of children from birth to age five.\u00a0 Families that elect to participate in local home visiting programs receive advice, guidance and other help from health, social service and child development professionals.\u00a0 Over time, families and home visitors build partnerships and work together to improve health and development; prevent child injuries, child abuse, neglect, or maltreatment, and reduce emergency department visits; improve school readiness and achievement; reduce crime, including domestic violence; and improve family economic self-sufficiency.\n\n\t\u00a0\n\n\t###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://web.archive.org/web/20140808040334/http://price.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=25&itemid=1608"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.959994737058878, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
