Reed and his Manufacturing Caucus Co-Chair Tim Ryan (D-OH) will meet Wednesday with panelists to identify ways to lower the unemployment rate among veterans. \u00a0\n\u201cOur goal is to better prepare veterans for the work environment and also see that the work environment is prepared for veterans,\u201d Reed said of the planned caucus meeting. \u201cWe can all help to serve and care for veterans better by listening to these experts and pool resources to put our nation\u2019s heroes back to work.\u201d \u00a0\nPanelists from district manufacturer Nucor, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and job training centers will talk about best practices and ways to coordinate resources to place veterans in jobs.\n\u201cWe\u2019re bringing these experts together to hear directly from them how to help veterans find meaningful jobs and what resources will get them into those positions,\u201d Reed continued. \u201cIt\u2019s right and fair that we stand with them not only when they are deployed but when they come home.\u201d\nReed pointed to RAMI, his Revitalize American Manufacturing and Innovation Act, as a vehicle to add U.S. manufacturing jobs for Americans, including veterans. \u201cRAMI is a great way to give veterans the opportunity to \u2018make it here and sell it there\u2019 while tackling the unemployment rate among veterans.\u201d\nWith over 100 bipartisan Members, the House Manufacturing Caucus covers a wide range of issues facing districts all across the country. The caucus has previously hosted panels on workforce development, national defense and Reed\u2019s Revitalize American Manufacturing and Innovation Act with district representatives from Dresser-Rand, Lockheed Martin, Finger Lakes Community College, G.W.
