After the briefing, Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers released the following statement.\n\n\t\u201cI was excited to learn about the NIH BRAIN Initiative from Dr. Francis Collins today.\u00a0\u00a0 This new initiative will provide a research framework that will ultimately help Americans who have Alzheimer\u2019s disease, autism, Down syndrome, ALS, and many other diseases of the brain, McMorris Rodgers said.
