Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Chair of the House Republican Conference, voted today to pass the bipartisan No Subsidies Without Verification Act.\u00a0 The legislation, co-sponsored by McMorris Rodgers, ensures that the Administration must verify eligibility before individuals receive insurance subsidies for ObamaCare exchanges.  \u201cToday the House voted to bring greater accountability to the federal government and put an end to the fraudulent payments under the President\u2019s health care law. \u00a0\u00a0Our bipartisan legislation, authored by Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), addresses one of the most unworkable parts of the law: an existing verification system that is tremendously vulnerable to fraud. \u00a0With enrollment in ObamaCare exchanges set to begin in less than a month \u2013 and with subsidies being provided to anyone who claims they\u2019re eligible \u2013 this must be solved.\u00a0 And the legislation the House passed today does just that,\u201d said Rep McMorris Rodgers.  In 2012 alone, the Department of Health and Human Services gave out $64 billion in improper payments.
