The interns have the opportunity to engage in the national level of government while assisting with constituent services and legislative research.\n\u201cInterning in the U.S. Senate is an excellent way to learn about the legislative branch of government and to see where much of our nation\u2019s early history took place,\u201d said Risch. \u201cThese interns are highly qualified and will serve Idaho well.\u201d\nThe interns are:\nLauren Conrad, a University of Idaho junior from Boise. Lauren is pursuing a double major in political science and economics and a minor in accounting. She has served as a junior volunteer at St. Luke\u2019s Regional Medical Center and is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Lauren is the daughter of Vic and Jani Conrad of Boise.\nJayson Vial, a graduate of Boise State University from Susanville, Calif. Jayson studied political science with an emphasis in American government and public policy and international relations. He served as an intern for the House majority leadership members of the Idaho State Legislature and as assistant mock trial coordinator for the Idaho State Bar.
