This information is important to ensuring veterans receive timely access to care and to restoring trust in the VA health care system (Please find the full letter text below).\n\u201cRegular data updates are critical to evaluating progress and challenges throughout the Veterans Health Administration network and at individual hospitals like the Phoenix VA Health Care System,\u201d said Sinema. \u201cI strongly encourage the VA to quickly publish this information as part of the effort to improve transparency and accountability at the VA.\u201d\nAs part of its effort to improve transparency and accountability, beginning on May 15, 2014, the VA published bi-monthly wait-times data, including information on total appointments scheduled and the number of veterans on electronic wait lists.
