The agreement will normalize relations between the countries and help further the Trump Administration's peace efforts in the Middle East:\r\nThe year 2020 has been filled with many remarkable events. This week, we mark this important milestone in international relations in the Middle East, an agreement that will increase stability in the region and will greatly reduce the influence of our adversaries.\r\nThe historic Abraham Accords will complicate and deter Iranian attempts to spread their malign influence in the region. I am hopeful that these Accords will help to bring a lasting peace to the region, and I know that the United States will continue to stand with all peoples who seek to build a brighter, more hopeful, and peaceful future.\r\nCongressman Rob Wittman represents the 1st District of Virginia.
