Rob Woodall (R-GA) visited ASC Construction Equipment in Buford, Ga., on Nov. 10.\n\u00a0\nWoodall is a member of the House Committee on Rules, the House Committee on Budget and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. According to the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), which helped coordinate the congressman's visit to ASC, Woodall has a 100 percent voting record during the 114th Congress on the industry's top policy priorities.\n\u00a0\nThese 2016 legislative priorities, according to AED, include:\n\u2022 Addressing the skilled worker shortage;\n\u2022 Investing in short-term and long-term surface transportation;\n\u2022 Funding water infrastructure;\n\u2022 Simplifying the tax code;\n\u2022 Preventing regulatory overreach; and\n\u2022 Expanding domestic energy production.\n\u00a0\nDuring his visit to ASC, Woodall toured the equipment dealer's facility and met with employees.\n\u00a0\n\u201cRep. Woodall's interest in our industry and our dealership were greatly appreciated,\u201d said Jack Evans, general manager of ASC Georgia operations. \u201cThe insights he shared with us regarding the future of transportation in Georgia and workforce development issues are certainly encouraging, as well.
