While Secretary Hegseth testified in front of the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee today to defend President Trump\u2019s Fiscal Year 2027 budget proposal, it was also his first time in front of Baldwin since the war began months ago.\n\nService members injured in the March 1 Iranian drone attack in Kuwait contacted the Senator\u2019s office and reported they were not getting the care they needed for injuries they sustained in the opening days of President Donald Trump\u2019s war in Iran. Baldwin then demanded action from the Administration to get these servicemembers care, and only after pressure, and nearly a month since the attack, did they get proper care for the injuries, including traumatic brain injury.
