This funding was awarded through DOT\u2019s Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) program, which was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The senators sent a letter to DOT supporting Fort Collins\u2019 application for this funding in August.\n\n\u201cThe Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is the largest investment in America\u2019s roads, bridges, and local infrastructure since President Eisenhower,\u201d said Bennet. \u201cThis funding will help Fort Collins achieve its emissions reduction goals by the end of the decade, fuel our state\u2019s transition to a clean energy economy, and reduce pollution for Northern Colorado.\u201d\n\n\u201cThis Bipartisan Infrastructure Law investment will supercharge Fort Collins\u2019 EV charging infrastructure,\u201d said Hickenlooper. \u201cMore reliable charging.
