Hispanic Heritage Month honors the contributions that the Hispanic and Latino communities have made to American achievements, culture, and history.\n\n\u201cThe deep roots of the Hispanic community in Colorado are part of what makes Colorado great,\u201d said Bennet. \u201cThis month, I\u2019m reflecting on and celebrating the incredible contributions of the 1.3 million Hispanic Coloradans. Our work must continue to uplift Hispanic communities in Colorado and across the country.\u201d\n\n\u201cThe Hispanic community in the United States is an integral part of the American story,\u201d said Cortez Masto. \u201cThis month is an opportunity to reflect on the progress made by Latinos, celebrate our accomplishments, and continue building a better future.
