Senator Blackburn spoke with Tennessee salon owner and Shear Haven Co-Founder Susanne Post about her personal experience and how the SALONS Stories Act would incentivize states to provide domestic violence awareness training for beauty professionals.\n\nThe national domestic violence hotline number is 800-799-SAFE (7233). This is important because it allows training that is done by a nonprofit for all of our estheticians and barbers and beauticians. Tennessee and Illinois have moved forward with this training. This is something we are trying to incentivize and do nationwide.\u201d \u2013 Senator Blackburn\n\n\u201cThis advocacy work that I'm doing was born out of a very personal season for me as a survivor of domestic violence.
