This pandemic has taken the lives of more than 60,000\r\nnursing home residents across the country, according to the Department of\r\nHealth and Human Services, said Blunt. We need to make sure nursing homes\r\nhave more support to not only protect patients, but also the health care\r\nproviders and staff who they rely on for care and other services. I appreciate\r\nthe administration for releasing this funding that will help keep Missourians and their loved ones safe as our nation continues the fight against this\r\npandemic.  Blunt commended HHS for providing nearly $84 million in\r\nAugust and nearly $165.4 million in May in coronavirus relief funding to\r\nnursing facilities in Missouri.
